The Green Pearl Caper by Phyllis Entis

Good day readers. I’m hoping this post comes through correctly after having to do some repairing to the site.

Damien Dickens Mysteries book one

The Green Pearl Caper

written by

Phyllis Entis

is a good detective story that relies on hard work and determination to find the truth before it’s too late and PI Damien Dickens ends up in jail for a murder he did not commit.

I would really like to know what was going through Damien’s head when he despite having reservations about taking on the case when Celine asked him to look into what she suspects as company fraud he dives in deeper and excepts another task from the older sister Sylvia that contradicts all of what Celine tells him. Like this is just trouble waiting to happen!

Sure enough that evening he gets knocked out and Celine ends up dead! Whoops!

Dickens definitely does not have an easy time in the beginning trying to clear his name. Right away he discovers he has been framed, but has no idea why or by whom, he has a cop that doesn’t like him, old grudges and all that to a scene that made me shocked and wanted to reach through the book to strangle her. millie the long time partner of Damien tells him she has enough and goes to work for the company in question. Wow, talk about a twist in the plot!

The characters in this story are great and when I started this book I read it from beginning to end. The narrator does a great job at bringing them all to life. For example, there’s Mr. Major who will have you beating your head against a desk or something with trying to get answers from him. I look forward to when I can get to the next book in the series.

I look forward to your comment. Please keep it respectful!
