OMG, I just have no words for some of the characters in this story. Right from the beginning you have Iris talk about using an AI to help her write a book. Um, my thought was the same as Geneva’s, are you serious? When she showed Geneva how it worked the response it gave her had me laughing out loud! Then you have George wanting to or trying to write poems about the strangest things. Well, we all have to have something to write about, right? A book that you must read as well and see what head shaking, eye rolling moments catches your attention! The murderer may surprise you. I didn’t see it coming. In fact, I’m still trying to figure out how Geneva came up with part of her conclusion.
The narrator
does a good job at reading this book. I’m not sure if she did this on purpose, but whenever she reads Georgina it has a petulant childlike quality. Georgina is constantly upset about something, but with a fiance like Hefty who can blame her. The other thing that has my poor air bubbles working over time is how she reads Georgina reminds me of someone, but who escapes me and I’ve read the book twice now and still can’t figure it out!
Monsters & Mystery is book number 24 in the series written by
and at some point I plan to make my way back to book 1 and see what other interesting characters are around.
I received this book for free from the narrator Kathleen and this review is given freely.
