I will start off by saying that the only big part I didn’t like about the story is the fact that right in the middle of some good parts of the story you switch off of a sudden to the past. The first time it happened I was like, um, what happened to the story? Where did it go? What do these people have to do with anything? Of course that becomes clear later in the story, but wow it through me off guard.
Kate is definitely very naïve and it amazes me how quickly she can change her mind about a person. She loves them one minute and think’s their monsters the next. But what shocks me the most being a parent is how she puts herself before her children after their dad is killed. I wanted to reach through the book if possible and strangle the woman! Oh the consequence this brings in the middle of trying to solve the murder case.
Lots of great dark twists and turns and a must read!
I received an advanced copy of this book for free and enjoyed reading it! My review is given freely and I look forward now to reading more books from this author..
