Wow, can you believe it? It’s been 1 month already! My little guy flew through the first month at the blink of an eye! Didn’t I just have him?
Well, what a month it has been. If there is such a thing past exhaustion, that would be me, smiles. Sleep and I were sort of on speaking terms before I was pregnant, but now we’re barely speaking, lol.
Jaydon is definitely a mommy’s boy. He must have his mommy for feeding time, changing his diaper, putting on his clothes, sleeping and just about anything else you can think of. He will let his daddy hold him sometimes, but he must be in the mood for that. If not, kick, scream, cry, punch and anything else that would get him his mommy. Sadly this makes things a little hard when I’m trying to work at night, but maybe there’s hope at the end of the tunnel, smiles.
I also think I’m dealing with PPD, but the questions that it has you go by don’t really apply. So I don’t know! This part is definitely different from my other after pregnancies, so I’m not sure what the heck to look out for. Maybe I’m just overwhelmed. Ah well, back to the little turtle.
Why my little turtle? Hahaha, that’s because no matter what J likes to stay curled up as tight as he can and he looks like a turtle in its shell, smiles.
Some people have asked me about his eye sight and as far as I can tell everything looks fine. He does focus on me when he’s awake enough and I talk to him or when I’m feeding him. So that’s a good thing. When we went to the doctor today she also said that he is tracking with no problems, yay!
Speaking of the doctor, J is sooooooo not going to like me and definitely not the doctor next month. He has to have 3….count them, 3 shots. When the heck did it switch to 3 shots for the 2 month check up?
Today he weighs 7lbs 2 ounces which is great. he’s picking up that weight he lost after he was born. I had to unfortunately switch from breast feeding all the time to adding in formula as well due to the fact that he eats eats eats and I just couldn’t keep up and I was starting to feel horrible that I wasn’t giving him enough. But, all is good now, yay!
He’s also grown an inch in a month. His birth height was 20 inches and he’s now 21, smiles.
We’ve practiced a little tummy time and sadly mommy keeps losing. I put him on his tummy and he promptly rolls over, lol. He’s been a roller since day one so I must figure out how to defeat him! I will prevail I tell you, lol.
We do have baby pictures and I will hopefully figure out how to get them up here on my blog so people can see them. However, if you’re on my facebook and somehow missed it, smiles, they are several of them posted there.
Anyways, until next time. I must check on the little one since i have him sleeping on his tummy at the moment. Oh yes, and if anyone has a baby tranquilizer, pleeeeeease still send it my way. My little night owl needs it, smiles.
